![]() It’s downright silly and frivolous, and nothing in this book will have a lasting impact on the other Marvel titles – but that’s the fun of it. ![]() I mean, would Deadpool really be able to kill all of these characters? Thor, Hulk, Black Bolt? Really? And even if he defeated them, how on earth (or space) did he kill Galactus, Silver Surfer, and Thanos!? But he does, because that’s the point of this comic. Pitch black and blood spattered comedy, yes, but comedy nonetheless. So if the cover might seem horror-oriented, or you think this is a comic meant to be shocking and taken seriously, don’t be mistaken – this is a comedy. The other thing you should know about Deadpool is that he is utterly (and lovably) insane, just full-on voices in his head crazy. Even the readers! Kill them most of all! And, like the best comics do, this comic delivers on its title – Deadpool does kill the Marvel Universe! Several characters put up a fight and Deadpool winds up mutilated in numerous, disgusting ways but if you know the character, you’ll know he has a healing factor that negates any damage done – no matter how horrific – meaning he cannot be killed and will keep going. In every conceivable alternate dimension, just kill everyone until there’s no one left. ![]() ![]() ![]() The answer? Kill everyone and don’t stop until everyone is dead. He’s sick of constantly regenerating and never being allowed to die. ![]()
